  • Playa Vista is a focal point of Silicon Beach's hub of tech innovation and creativity and complements LMU's aspirations for global imagination and global impact. We have longstanding strategic relationships and industry partnerships within the Playa Vista community. As we continue to strengthen immersive and interdisciplinary opportunities and career pathways, our students and faculty members benefit from being embedded in Playa Vista's culture and vibe.

  • LMU Playa Vista Campus is located in the Brickyard building, at 12105 W. Waterfront Drive. The campus is located on the second floor of the building, with entry to the space via the elevators at the first floor lobby.

  • LMU began offering classes at LMU Playa Vista Campus in August 2018. 

  • For students and faculty, the campus is open seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to midnight. There will be additional hours of availability for students during the peak times on the academic calendar.

  • LMU runs a continuous shuttle between the main campus and LMU Playa Vista Campus, 7 days a week. Students, faculty and staff may continue parking on the main campus and utilize the shuttle service.

    There is paid off-street parking available in the Playa Vista Campus building, but it is not covered under LMU's parking permit system and is subject to the property’s posted rates. Street parking is available around the building, but may be limited at peak times.

  • Yes, the shuttle service is free to members of the LMU community and general public alike.

  • All LMU School of Film and Television graduate programs are based at LMU Playa Vista Campus, along with the Executive MBA program. In the future, the campus will expand its offerings to include certificates and other executive and continuing education programs.
